Katrina Hughes (Dental Therapist) After working as a dental nurse for over 13 years she returned to university and gained a Diploma and Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy from The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2009. She worked in both private and nhs sectors of practice. She has a keen interest in phobic and anxious patients and gained a Diploma in Hypnosis applied to Dentistry from University College London in 2011, after which she obtained a certificate in conscious sedation from SAAD which allows her to administer inhalation sedation to nervous patients. She was also one of 5 dental professionals invited to Leichenstein in 2012 by Ivoclar vivadent to be an opinion leader with Ivoclar assisting and doing lectures and hands on courses. In addition to her clinical work she is also a Professional Educator for Waterpik.
